ConsultAI is currently being tested with five local authorities to ensure it meets the specific needs of development management teams. It has been rolled out to their principal planners, who process at least 5,000 comments a year. This testing phase has been crucial in refining the tool and ensuring the reports meet statutory requirements and save time in existing workflows.

Document AutoCapture: Currently, ConsultAI processes data from any source (online platforms, emails, letters, attached documents) if you copy and paste your data into a spreadsheet. We are making it this much easier to do by introducing AutoCapture. AutoCapture allows you to ‘dump’ emails and documents for automatic processing, providing a tidy spreadsheet with your data.

Integrations: Currently, we ask you to prepare your data in a spreadsheet format, with our help if you need it. This works well for infrequent consultations like Local Plans, but for frequent, smaller consultations like planning applications, this work can be reduced. We’re developing integrations starting with the main planning portal providers.

Fixed themes: Currently, ConsultAI finds the themes in each dataset. We can manually fix the themes, for example, to material considerations, and run a bespoke analysis on this basis for you. This year, we are building the automation to achieve this on the platform.
